Trained to think carefully — not just to accumulate information.
"Through the structure of the Trivium, I learned how to understand ideas, break them down logically, and then communicate them clearly."
My education has been shaped by a classical Christian model, which really means I was trained to think carefully. Through the structure of the Trivium, I learned how to understand ideas, break them down logically, and then communicate them clearly.
A big part of that was learning Latin. I've spent time working through classical Latin texts and reading older works in their original form, which forces you to slow down and actually understand what's being said. It trains attention to detail and makes you think more precisely. Alongside that, I've also read works like Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and Histories by Herodotus, engaging directly with foundational ideas from history and philosophy.
I was also introduced to formal logic early on. Logic is basically the study of reasoning — how arguments are built, how conclusions follow, and how to spot when something doesn't make sense. That's had a big impact on how I think, especially when it comes to solving problems or building something from the ground up.
In math, I've been working about two years ahead of the standard pace. That's pushed me to get comfortable with abstract thinking and problem-solving — understanding why things work the way they do, not just how to execute a process.
I've also studied the basics of biology, including DNA and how living things are classified. That gave me an early look at how complex systems are structured, how information is stored, and how everything fits into a larger order.
All of this together has shaped how I approach things now. I tend to think in systems, focus on clarity, and work from the ground up.

Musical
Abilities
Rhythm, harmony, and the space in between.
Music has been a consistent part of what I do, especially through playing and building with others. I've spent time learning and playing drums and guitar, and over time I've settled into bass as my main instrument because it combines rhythm and melody in a way that feels natural to me. It sits right between the foundation and the movement of a song, which is where I like to be.
Starting with drums helped me develop a strong sense of timing and consistency, learning how to stay locked in and keep everything grounded. Guitar added another layer, helping me understand melody, chords, and how songs are structured. Moving into bass brought those two together, allowing me to think about both rhythm and harmony at the same time.
I'm especially drawn to metal, both in how it sounds and how it's built — the energy, precision, and tight coordination between instruments. At the same time, a lot of my real experience on bass has come from playing in a church band, where consistency, control, and supporting the overall sound matter a lot.
Playing across these instruments has shaped how I approach music overall. I don't just focus on one part — I think about how everything fits together, how each instrument supports the others, and how small changes can affect the entire sound. It's less about standing out and more about making the whole thing work.
Most of my experience comes from playing in group settings, where listening matters just as much as playing. Being able to adjust, stay in time, and support the rest of the band has been a big part of how I've developed. Over time, that's built a strong sense of awareness — both in what I'm playing and what's happening around me.
Currently
Working toward building a band and creating original songs. Something that's still in progress — but the direction is clear.
